About BSOTM
Hi, I’m Julia Park, the founder of Bark Side of the Moon! My journey in the dog world began 18 years ago, when I started pack walking at the age of 21. After spending five years learning under a mentor, I took the leap and opened Bark Side of the Moon, turning my passion for animals and the outdoors into something of my own.
Over the years, my work with animals has taken me through veterinary nursing, animal shelters, dog daycare and boarding, cat care, and, of course, pack walking. Each experience has shaped the way I care for animals and deepened my understanding of their individual needs, personalities, and quirks.
Bark Side of the Moon first began in New Jersey, made its way to Philadelphia, and has now come full circle back to New Jersey, where we’re happily settled in Haddonfield.
While dogs are a big part of what I do, cats hold a special place in my heart, too! I also offer cat visits to help keep your feline friends happy and comfortable in their own homes while you’re away. From mealtime to litter box care, playtime, and a little extra affection (on their terms, of course), I want you to feel confident that your cats are in caring, experienced hands.
My goal is to give animals more opportunities to enjoy life, whether that means exploring wooded trails, getting their sniff on, running free in a secure, fenced-in space, or enjoying the comfort of a familiar home. I believe every animal deserves thoughtful care, enrichment, and the freedom to be themselves.
After 18 years, one thing remains the same: my love for animals and my commitment to making their lives a little brighter.

Outings with the Pack
Fueling your dog's inner adventurer!
Give your dog a day full of fresh air, new places, and room to roam! Our small-group outings include 4–6 hours of exploring local trails, parks, and secure fenced-in off-leash areas, with pickup and drop-off included.
Dogs enjoy hiking, running, sniffing, and socializing in a supervised group of 4–6 dogs.
Safety is my number one priority! During trail walks, each dog's leash is connected using climbing-grade carabiner clips to a climbing-style waist belt, providing a secure and controlled walking system.

Cat Visits
Because your cat deserves a personal assistant!
Each visit includes playtime and pets, cleaning litter boxes, bringing in mail, cleaning pet dishes, and other small tasks related to your feline.
$25
Additional $15 per visit on all major holidays.

FAQ
How do you ensure the safety of the dogs during pack walks?
All leashes are clipped together using a carabiner clip (used by rock climbers) and then securely attached to my safety belt (also used by rock climbers).
Can I request special care for my pet?
Absolutely! We welcome any specific care instructions or special needs to ensure your dog feels comfortable and secure.
I don't know if my dog is capable of doing this, he pulls on the leash and can be difficult to walk!
I work with all dogs on leash walking skills! Often times once a dog joins the pack they fall right in line and walk side by side with the other dogs. You will notice the change in the walks with your dog outside of the pack too!
